  I am part of a group that plans trips to Royal Gorge on weekends. It is the Soda Springs exit off of I-80. Mainly day trips from Sacramento since it is only about an hour and a half drive from here. But we also meet at Royal Gorge for a fun day of skiing, so you could be coming from anywhere to get involved on one of our trips.

      Hi Sandy,
      Yes it has been sold. But from what I have heard the new owners do not plan on changing much for a while. Also the old owner is still running it for them. I think the new owners are looking at housing developments eventually on some the the property they own there. It is a group of real estate developers from the bay area.
